Desk name plates, name tags and labels

What this tool does

Makes the name things a classroom needs at the start of the year, for the whole class at once. Desk plates come two to a page: each child's name sits on handwriting lines so they see where every letter belongs, with an optional alphabet strip across the top and a 0-20 number line along the bottom. Name tags come eight to a page and labels fourteen to a page, for trays, cubbies, coat pegs and drink bottles, with up to four labels per child. Every sheet has dashed cut lines inside the printable area. Names print in the handwriting style your school teaches: US print or cursive, the five Australian state styles or the UK styles, joined or unjoined. How to use it

   Add your class

   Paste one name per line, or load a class you saved in the name tracing tool. Numbering pasted from a spreadsheet is removed.

   Desk plates, name tags or labels. Pick your school's letter style, and capitals or lowercase to match how you teach names.

   Print on card and cut

   Card stock works best for desk plates and tags. Print at Actual size / 100% and cut along the dashed lines.

FAQ

Can I use the class I saved for name tracing?

Yes. Saved classes are shared between tools in the same browser. Load it from the list under the names box and every child appears straight away.

Will long names fit?

Yes. A name too long for its space is made smaller rather than cut off, and the tool tells you which ones were shrunk so you can use a shorter form if you prefer.

Do the labels fit a particular label sheet?

They are laid out for cutting from plain paper or card, fourteen to a page with cut lines, not for a specific brand of sticker sheet.

Is the class list uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything is drawn in your browser. Saved classes are kept only in this browser's storage.
